Louise Wood

BANT REGISTERED NUTRITIONIST AND NUTRITIONAL THERAPIST

WOMEN’S HEALTH AND PAIN MANAGEMENT

Louise

Louise has over 10 year’s experience working in the health and fitness industry. She graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Therapy in 2006, and as a personal trainer, she specialised in sport and injury rehabilitation. It was when Louise experienced ill health after being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition in her 20’s that led her to be curious as to why she had become unwell. Having a keen interest in naturopathy and nutrition she wanted to find the answers, and furthered her academic training in Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine.

Due to the personal health struggles Louise had encountered, she dedicated herself to finding the root cause of her autoimmune condition, with determination to find relief from her chronic symptoms. Through personalised nutrition, lifestyle change and functional testing, Louise discovered she was able to successfully get her health and wellbeing back into balance. Louise is a registered Nutritionist specialising in autoimmunity and chronic illness, with a focus on investigating health concerns and symptoms of a persistent nature. This can be complex and involves taking a thorough body systems approach to find the causes of underlying dysfunction. Louise is also a certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, qualifying with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). This is the gold standard in Functional Medicine training. Louise's mission is to educate her clients about their individual health imbalances and help her clients take control of their own health.

Through her fascination and key interests in immune system and the gut microbiome, Louise stays up to date with the scientific literature, continuing to further her knowledge in these fields. This enables Louise to get her clients the best results and health outcomes possible.

Louise is registered with the British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and is a member of The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
